Concrete Floor Grinding Checklist — Before You Start

Before You Book

Confirm floor area (m2) — determines which hire duration you need
Check floor condition — any major cracks, damage, or previous coatings?
Confirm you have access to power (15A outlet or standard 10A with extension)
Check with building manager if in a strata property
Book your hire date and time

What to Have Ready at Pickup

Valid driver licence (required for ID upload during booking)

Before You Start Grinding

Clear all furniture from the area
Sweep floor thoroughly
Check for protruding nails or screws
Connect dust extractor to grinder before starting
Treat any oil stains with degreaser (allow to dry fully)

P2/P3 dust mask fitted and sealed
Hearing protection in place
Work area clear of others

During Grinding

Work in overlapping rows
Keep machine moving at all times
Check disc condition every 30 minutes
Empty dust extractor bag before it is full

After Grinding

Vacuum all dust thoroughly
Wipe down with clean dry cloth
For epoxy prep: retest moisture after 24 hours
Photograph equipment before return (protects your bond)
Return equipment using same access code
